African green monkeys provide UA researchers with clues about virus's possible weaknesses

Researchers at the UA have found new clues that could potentially lead to a better understanding of human immunodeficiency virus and the possibility of a reduction in HIV-related deaths. By studying the simian immunodeficiency virus found in African green monkeys, UA researchers have discovered that the monkeys had an HIV-like virus after the lineage split into four species, dating the virus to as recently as 3 million years ago.… Post the First Comment

UApresents has recovered from their last year's deficit of nearly $1 million to generate a net income of $99,000 at the close of this season. Arizona women's basketball center Suzy Bofia will redshirt the upcoming 2007-08 season because she is pregnant, head coach Joan Bonvicini announced Tuesday. "Suzy Bofia will take time off during the upcoming season to give birth to her first child," Bonvicini said in a press release.

I've never felt comfortable calling myself a liberal or a conservative, because I regard both of those terms as basically meaningless.
